A lanky fast bowler who prefers to bowl her ten overs on the trot, Neelima Waghmare proved to be extremely stingy during the CricInfo Rani Jhansi Trophy held in Chennai recently. With temperatures soaring, opening the bowling and going through her overs without a break seemed a daunting task. Neelima however, dishcharged her duties to perfection, ending at the top of the economy rate table giving away just 1.57 per over. Her best performance of 1/7 from 10 overs showed how tight she could bowl. Delivering the ball from close to the stumps with an easy run up, Neelima hits the deck hard and gets the ball to do a bit. However, her main asset is line and length and she seldom experiments very much.
